A CISS or bulk ink supply system uses far less ink than an ink cartridge. Every time you place an ink cartridge in your printer, the latter automatically goes through a high powered cleaning cycle that re-primes the printhead for the new cartridge, resulting in a waste of nearly 10% of the ink into the waste sponge at the bottom of the printer. In effect, when your printer alerts you that your cartridge is empty, the fact is you actually still have slightly over 30% of ink remaining in the cartridge. The sponge will not release that ink.
Break open your brand-name regular ink cartridges (after you have been prompted to replace them) and you will see for yourself that the amount of ink that you have paid for but cannot use is unbelieveable. With our CISS, you are free from all that. Once installed, you refill the required ink colour only. No need to replace the entire cartridge, especially when you have a composite system. Besides, your printing cost is approximately only 10% of the cost when you print using cartridge [see the example for HP K550 CISS below].

THE K550 EXAMPLE!
* HP supplies both standard- and large-size cartridges for this printer.
* With the standard range, the black ink cartridge holds 20.5ml whilst the colour ink
(cyan, magenta & yellow) cartidges hold 9ml each. Similarly, the large cartridge
type holds 58.5ml for black, and 17ml each for cyan, magenta and yellow.
* Let us consider the first range. HP Online Supplies Shop supplies a 20.5ml black ink
cartridge for £14 and the 9ml colour ink cartridges for £10 each. Of course,
High Street Retailers and others sell at much higher prices than that!
* Our dye-based bulk inks, manufactured to the highest international standard, cost
£34.93 per 1000ml for black and £31.99 per 1000ml for each colour ink.
* Now, if we consider an HP 9ml colour cartridge on its own, it means a 1000ml ink
bottle of our bulk ink is equivalent to about 111 colour cartridges. That is, a
startling £1110.00 or £10 x 111! And when you include the hidden cost incurred
due to loss of ink that is inherent in OEM cartidges during priming, the case for
CISS and bulk inks becomes even more apparent. To cap that, our empty CISS for
HP K550 is just £27.77 for the whole set of colours.
* Well, if you are still not convinced, do the sum yourself for the other colours
including black (for both the standard & large-size cartridge for this HP product. In
either case, calculate and compare your ink cost per printed sheet when using ink
cartridges as against CISS + bulk inks. And after that, tell us where the bargain is!!
