* Troy produces two grades of micr toners for use in HP laser printer models; namely,
Troy Micr Toners & Troy Micr Toner Secure™. We supply the Troy Micr Toner
Secure™ grade only. Its anti-fraud technology is approved by HP.
* Troy Micr Toner Secure™ offers an additional security element to troy micr toner
printing. It contains an embedded anti-fraud security agent that turns red when
activated as a result of an attempt to wash a document (e.g., cheque) on which
it is applied. Typical chemicals for washing security documents include acetone
acetate, and carpet cleaning solvents..
* In addition to Troy Micr Toner Secure™ Cartridges for HP Laser Printers, we also
supply Troy Micr Toner Secure™ Cartridges for Troy Laser Printers.

General Info & Tools For Your Consideration
1. MICR Line Readers
* Readers available in micr processing equipment are used for reading details of the
line (s) of information on the documents as they are fed through them.
* The reader sends a magnetic charge to the cheque/document, as it passes
through it at speeds up to 70.
* The reader will detect & reject cheques/documents with poor or no magnetic
strength on its MICR line. Similarly, poorly altered MICR lines are not validated.
In either case, an alarm for fraud or a closer concern leading to manual checks is
triggered.
2. In order to print MICR documents, you may need
* a micr laser toner
* a security paper
* a business form paper (NCR/Xerox/X-R carbonless paper)
* a range of micr testing products (e.g., a micr line gauge)
* a suitable printing software that is capable of printing micr
cheques/documents. Or an eye for detail!
