The colours of the image of a photoluminescent layer may vary significantly depending on lighting conditions.  So, although the above picture taken with a simple, normal camera may look dull, it is being displayed here simply for your reference only. The colour of the photoluminescent vinyl is brighter & denser in real life, just as it is on screen due to PC monitor calibrations that 'treat' the
pixles of the image to produce/retain its brightness & density. 


DIGITAL AQUEOUS INK MEDIA

A.  'Glow in the Dark' (Photoluminescent) Vinyl For Water Based Printing
This is a unique, quality photoluminescent top coated vinyl for inkjet printing. The
film is specially formulated with a 'transparent absorbant' for use with all aqueous ink inkjet printers, and for a variety of applications.  It promotes a split appearance: 'greenish yellow' in daylight and 'bright light greenish-yellow' in the dark.  In other words, the image that is printed onto this film will show up clearly in darkness as its backgroud film glows through and around.  Typically, that glow can be sustained for over half a day and the excitation and emission can be repeated indefinitely after exposure to a natural or artificial light source.  

What's more, the product is conformable and the film is quick drying.  Besides, its
greenish-yellow glow colour, arising from a unique photoluminescent pigment technology, is designed to be lightish to avoid obscuring the colours of digital
graphics.

So, in addition to the advantages of conventional digital sign & graphic vinyls, this product provides the highest possible luminance of your images, text and photos in darkness/night-time, plus the opportunity to print on vinyls with water based inkjet inks

Versatility
It is pliable - easy to cut with craft knife or scissors or professional cutting equipment - making it possible for you to produce unlimited range of glow -in-the
dark shapes.

This product (with or without adhesive mounting films 0195 & 1198) is recommended for indoor signage & graphic art applications.  However, it can be used outdoors if laminated and edge treated.  Typical applications include:

How it works
* You apply the double side adhesive to the pre-printed photoluminescent vinyl, 
   if you need to mount your finished job.
* Mounting must be on clean, dry, grease & dust-free, smooth flat or slightly
   curved non-porous surfaces.
* Recommended service temperature for photoluminescent vinyl is -20 to +75°C
* For outstanding tack & end-adhesion, the mounting adhesives are best applied 
   in temperatures between 8 - 30°C.  However, both adhesives will resist
   temperatures up to 80°C. 
* Lamination is recommended for outdoor, glossy and waterproof finish. Cold
   lamination is recommended.

Durability
*  Service life of Photoluminescent vinyl = 5 -7yrs
*  Service life of Mounting adhesive = 1 - 2yrs
*  Above figures refer to unprinted photoluminescent vinyl.  Reference to your
    ink manufacturer must be made for the durability of the finished product.

Cleaning
*  Non-abrasive and neutral cleaners are recommended.
*  Any residue solvents on surfaces cleaned with solvent or on lacquered surfaces
    will damage the PVC of the adhesive

Storage
*  Photoluminescent vinyl backed film should be stored in a dry place  
*  Both adhesives are best stored upright in a cool and dry place, protected from
    direct UV-sunlight.  15 - 20°C storage temperature at 55 - 60% relative
    humidity is recommended
