Introduction

This Privacy Policy outlines Ink Ribbon Paper /Agency Shop ("our or we or the Company") practices with respect to information collected from users  (collectively: "you or your or Users") who access our website at www.inkribbonpaper.co.uk ("Site") or otherwise share personal information with us.

Third Parties

We work in partnership with several third parties, such as Service Providers, Developers, Couriers, Social Media, and Affiliates.  All of these parties are independent of us and do not act on our behalf. We have no control over and take no responsibility for the content on websites that are owned by a third party or its associates and linked to our websites.

Some of these third parties (Google, Bing,  PayPal, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, DHL, DPD, & FedEx) offer data analytical services to us and, as with Paypal & Google payment platforms, to enable you to pay for our goods online. They have servers that may gather information that do not in themselves identify specific individuals. They may gather information about where you visit on our Sites (i.e., the Universal Resource Locator or URL of the page visited), the URL of the site you are coming from and going, and also identify the location of your PC (i.e., its IP address and country). The use of such information will usually be as stated above, and in the interest of both the visitor and Agency Shop, except in the unlikely circumstances of a third party using it for purposes unknown or undisclosed to Agency Shop or www.inkribbonpaper.co.uk.

To guard against the latter scenario, we have set, through our accounts at the known sites of the above three service providers (Google, Bing & PayPal), a short time period (of up to 38months) for the retention of the data of our site users in the analytics servers of the service providers.

We advise all users or visitors to our sites to check out the terms of use and or terms & conditions of use of the sites of our partners including social media companies whose social sharing plug-ins we use to allow our customers or visitors to share certain pages of our sites on social media. For example, the terms & conditions of use of data that may be collected by any of the above third parties or parties linked via external links to our site apply here as on their sites and are available at their sites.

Third parties such as PayPal, Google, Microsoft, Firefox and other search engines place cookies such as behavioural cookies on your browser when you visit to help us to analyze and understand the date and time you spend within our website pages for marketing. purposes.

Similarly, our service providers (e.g., PayPal) may also use cookies to automatically collect information from your computer and automatically store them in their log files for reference purposes to ease your experience to enable you to pay safely and securely the next time you visit, or in the case of visiting hackers or visitors with malicious intent to monitor their activities with a view to making our sites safer for all. Such information may include type of browser software, website activity and your IP address.

Ink Ribbon Paper & Your Data

Unless agreed in advance through none disclosure agreements (NDAs),  in the case of specific service provision, none of the content (information or materials) that you submit to or post on this Site is treated as confidential.  Any content that you post or submit may be used for training, marketing, product development, including, but not limited to, providing you with a smooth, efficient, and customised experience while using this Site.

We do not collect any information about you unless you voluntarily give it to us. For example, we will not email you with exclusive sales, offers, and important marketing news, unless with your prior consent, you as a customer or, in exceptional cases where your data may have arrived in our system through a partner, you confirm your willingness to receive such communication (e.g., request for quotation) from us. You are always in control of your data.  And in compliance with UK Data Protection Act (1998) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)(2018), we will never sell, rent or lease your information to anyone else or group. The GDPR law impacts on us, our customers, and our technology vendors & cooperating manufacturers around the globe.

The only data that we hold in relation to you are your company details (including company name, contact names, email addresses, telephone & fax numbers, and other data supplied by you as required by our online & offline RFQ/Enquiry forms, newsletter form, and online contact form. These data are necessary because they enable us to process your enquiries and orders and to administer your account so that any contractual obligation(s) between your company or yourself and our company are fulfilled. All such data that we hold are stored securely within highly secured servers and protected by state-of-the-art IT security software and firewalls of the platforms & data centres of our service providers whilst our trading relationship with you is alive, and, in compliance with the GDPR, for seven years thereafter if for any reason the relationship is terminated.

User Rights

You may request to:
  • Receive confirmation as to whether or not personal information concerning you is being processed, and access your stored personal and supplementary information from our service providers directly or through us where applicable .
  • Receive a copy of personal information you directly volunteer to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

We may rectify, replenish or remove incomplete or inaccurate information, at any time and at our own discretion.

We are unable to guarantee with absolute certainty what our service providers (e.g., PayPal & Facebook) do with all the information that they gather from this or their site about you, but we have no reason to date about their integrity in the handling of your data.

We do not rent, sell or share Users’ information with third parties; except, in the case of sharing, as described below in this Privacy Policy.

User Information Used & Shared

Two types of data and information are collected from Users.

The first type of information relates to those collected by our service providers as stated earlier.  It comprises unidentified and non-identifiable information pertaining to a User(s), which may be made available or gathered via your use of the Site (“Non-personal Information”). Our service provider and us are not aware of the identity of a User from which the Non-personal Information was collected. As indicated earlier, non-personal Information include your activity on this Site (e.g. pages viewed), your aggregated usage information, and technical information transmitted by your device (e.g. your browser type and device operating system, language preference, access time, etc.) during usage.  This type of information is used to enhance the functionality of our Site.

The second type of information (Personal Information) is gathered through forms by us for the processing of your enquiries. orders and newsletter registration, and by our service providers for the processing of payments, etc.  This type of information identifies you or may with reasonable effort identify you to enable us to promote, provide and deliver the right service to you.

This Site is SSL Certificated, SECURE AND PROTECTED against internet treats.  It is hosted by third party secure servers that ensure that online storage and processing
of your data/information are secure.

Although we take reasonable steps to safeguard information, we cannot be responsible for the acts of those who, in unlikely & unforseen circumstances,
gain unauthorised access or abuse our site; and we make no warranty, express, implied or otherwise, that we will prevent such access.

Transfer Of Data Outside The EEA

Please note that some data recipients may be located outside the EEA. In such cases we will transfer your data only to such countries as approved by the
European Commission as providing adequate level of data protection, or enter into legal agreements ensuring an adequate level of data protection.

We as well as our service providers use cookies when you visit our site or access our services, as stated earlier

We use a tool which is based on the Snowplow Analytics technology to collect information about your use of the Site. The tool collects information such as how often users access the Site, which pages they visit when they do so, etc. The tool does not collect any Personal Information and is only used by our Site hosting and operating service provider to improve the Site and services.

Use Of Script Libraries (Google Web Fonts)

In order to present our contents correctly and make them graphically appealing across all browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries such as Google Web Fonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts) on this website. Google Web Fonts are transferred to your browser's cache to avoid multiple loading. If your browser does not support Google Web Fonts or does not allow access, content will be displayed in a default font.
Calling script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the library operator. In theory, it is possible – but currently also unclear whether and, if so, for what purposes – that operators of corresponding libraries collect data.

We may use your Personal Information such as your name, email address, telephone number, etc., ourselves or by using our third-party for the purpose of providing you with promotional materials concerning our services which we believe may interest you. 

To respect your right to privacy, within such marketing materials we will provide you with the means to opt out of receiving further marketing offers from us. If you unsubscribe, we will remove your email address or telephone number from our marketing distribution lists.

We may use a third-party advertising technology to promote our products & services and serve advertisements as a result of your access to our Site. This technology uses your information with regards to your use of our services to serve advertisements to you.

If and when we decide to serve such ads we will offer you the option  to opt out of any third-party advertising network that we use

Protecting Minors

We understand the importance of protecting children’s privacy, especially in an online environment. The Site is not designed for or directed at children. Under no circumstances shall we allow the use of our services by minors without prior consent or authorisation by a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from minors. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with Personal Information without their consent, he or she should email us.

Updating Amendments

We reserve the right to periodically amend or revise this Privacy Policy; material changes will be effective immediately upon the display of the revised Privacy policy. The last revision will be reflected in the "Last modified" section. Your continued use of this site, following the notification of such amendments on our website, constitutes your acknowledgment and consent of such amendments to the Privacy Policy and your agreement to be bound by the terms of such amendments.
